Old Age...

I was with a couple of cousins the other day..

So we drove down to Aurora to visit a sick elder in my family..

She was in a rehabilitation center down on montgomery...

So when we got there we realized we didnt get her anything so we "borrowed" alll the cookies from the downstairs lobby and carried them to her upstairs..

she was really pleased with the cookies...not that she can eat em or anything....guess it was the thought that counted...

so she asked us to take her downstairs in the basement ... we were like ok....

we took her to the basement and I was like woah.

downstairs they had created like this fake mini market place with a salon and a dining room and a fake view of the sea...so that the old people would feel good....

It was all colorfull and whatnot but for some reason It got me depressed....I dont know I guess when i see old people sad or in pain it really gets to me... I mean we alll turn old and what not ...but still...however the best feeling anyone can get is when they make another person feel good..trust me Ive mae tons of people feel bad and sure its got its joys and fun...but its shi* compared to when you make someone else feel good...making people feel good is harder then making them feel bad...guess thats why its so much fun...

However the most depressing part of my whole trip and the fake lounge and cafe's was:

for the uneducated eye...outside of that window isnt a blue sky with clouds...

Its a gray wall...if youve got  good trained eye then you can look at my reflection and see the outline of the fake cafe and salon that I was talking about etc..

I hope you learned something.

P.S

^^^^^^

naheel and sabeel...while we were watching The Omen  ( didnt live up to the hype)

well to be honest sabeeel got so freaked out at one scene that he jumped and hugged naheel..

man me and naheel were like braindead that whole movie

i hope you learned something from this.

you know who you are.

Damn.

Jacob: the boy who cried.

http://www.invisiblechildren.com

On the first night in Northern Uganda the three filmmakers met Jacob at the bus park. Jacob, a former child soldier, was taken from his home, and robbed of his education. After escaping “the bush” at 14, he dreamed of returning to school to become a lawyer, but did not have the means to do so. At the end of the “Invisible Children: Rough Cut,” Jacob says, “I have nothing. I don’t even have a blanket. We don’t have anything to do with food. Maybe we can eat once a day… so it is better when you kill us. And, if possible you can kill us, you kill us. For us, we don’t want now to stay. …no one taking care of us. We are not going to school...” Immediately after saying this, the filmmakers cried with him.

For the first time, it was understood what the children affected by this war felt; And what these children wanted. In 2003 the filmmakers made a promise, as friends, to pay Jacob’s way through school. Under Jolly’s constant watchful eye, Jacob has had much success in school, and has benefited immensely from her guidance. But he is just one boy.The filmmakers thought, “If this bond between child and mentor helps make a difference, maybe it can change lives on a larger scale.” And so they put it to work.

At only 16, Jacob provoked Invisible Children Inc.’s belief in education as a way to freedom.Jacob has, without knowing it, turned Jolly’s dream into a reality. Jacob, the quiet boy with the contagious laugh, has sparked a fire that will eventually give thousands of children the freedom to learn.
